Livestock Identification Programs

The ILIA urges all member states, provinces, and Native American Tribal Nations to maintain and protect the integrity of livestock identification and inspection.

The ILIA encourages and supports the research and further development of electronic identification technology for individual animal identification that is practical, cost effective and will work in synergy with existing livestock identification and inspection legislation.

The ILIA encourages and supports enforcement of livestock ownership and identification legislation.

The ILIA will assist any agency, association, industry group, or individual producer in their efforts to protect, promote, and preserve livestock identification and inspection.
